I'm sure some will recognise it, for all the others: taken in the Sulzerareal during the 7th Swiss Devmeet.
Ok time for a short history lesson so everyone will understand my intentions with this shot (btw, i suck at history so mea culpa to all proud and educated citizens of winterthur, feel free to wiseass me into oblivion)
Sulzer used to be a major company for metalworks and its compound, together with its surrounding infrastructure used to make up most of winterthur.
Ok so there was this sign saying "Ausser Betrieb" - Not In Use, for me that just was a very ironic, yet very fitting comment on the whole location, of course it hasn't been in use as a industrial fabrication facility in many years now, but that is not, by any means, out of use by life, people and culture. afaik there are now a theater, office buildings, apartements, etc all around even if this particular building is "only" a parking lot. (AND playhouse for anyone that wouldn't mind getting his hands dirty )
